There is no kind of a sure shot guarantee in this world to make permanent income. Similarly you can’t determine the future of your website and its content to generate revenue for you. You must keep your site optimized with the changes in the world wide web. With the advent of social media, blogging has taken a whole new perspective and brought it to the realization of thousands of bloggers across the globe. The Panda and Penguin updates have impacted the web traffic in a lot of ways.

So it is necessary for the bloggers to stay updated with the trends in the blog-o-sphere. Blogging must be your passion to start with. You must be a proper skeptic to reap the benefits of monetization on the web. The first and foremost trend that has come in the blogging market is to protect your site against the lethal Panda and penguin updates from Google. For those who lost a lot in the rankings can now start worrying about the recovery procedures. Google has become much stricter in its algorithms.

Here are the trends that the bloggers are applying in 2012 to optimize their site:

Removal of Bad links

Professionally created black hat links are being detected a lot in the Google algorithms as a result of which many of the sites are being penalized by Google in terms of the rankings. So many of the aware bloggers have come up with the processes of removing the inorganic and dirty back links that once generated a lot of traffic for them. So as a good blogger , you too should try to look for the bad and irrelevant links to your site and try to remove them to be on the safer side.

Generating Optimized content

Just like the last couple of years, on-page SEO continues to be a major part of the blogging success that individuals can take benefit of. The optimized content is easily placed higher on the Google’s rankings rather than an unorganized and stuffy content.

Social Media integration

The trend is set for the social networks to take over the marketing mix of many of the organization’s business strategies. What this means for bloggers is that they must share the content on the social networking websites to generate relevant traffic along with getting higher CPC for the display ads on their blogs.

The Trends may keep on changing year after the other, but currently content and social media seem to drive the truck of blogging to a merry ride. Experts predict that no matter how large the changes may come in the next few years, content will always be on the top in the trends for blogging. So while you are writing your next blog post, it is a good practice to keep in mind that you are writing for a lot more purposes than to just get the stuff out of your head. Play the game carefully and enjoy the awesome rewards.

  1. The last trend you mentioned: Social media integration is so widely used that at least 9 blogs out of 10 have some kind of social media integration.

Facebook and Twitter are the most used ones. Nowadays, if you don’t have a Twitter account or a Facebook page then you don’t own a business or blog worth checking.

  2. Great post and thanks for the information. I would have to agree with what you are saying, things are different these days and you can’t keep doing the same old thing. I like the option to mass remove links from sites cause it does allow you to manage them more effectively and get rid of all the bad links easily.

  6. I am glad to hear that content is still the big daddy of the internet. Those of us who generate quality information for the anonymous visitors can breathe a sigh of relief. I agree that it’s important to stay on top of what is happening in the industry. Thanks for your frank assessment.
